PRESENTED BY CHALET VIEW LODGE

There are weddings that feel beautiful, and then there are weddings that feel like they opened a whole little world for the weekend. A + M's celebration at Chalet View Lodge was exactly that: cinematic, romantic, a little wild, and full of those highly specific design moments that make guests say, wait, this is so them.

Set beneath the towering pines of the Lost Sierra, the day began with a ceremony that felt almost suspended in the forest. White pedestals overflowing with sculptural florals framed the aisle, while deep burgundy amaranthus, creamy roses, anthurium, and soft green textures brought a dramatic, artful edge to the natural setting. The whole look was lush without feeling overly polished, organic without disappearing into the landscape.

And then came the reception.

Inside the clear-top tent, Chalet View Lodge's forest backdrop became part of the design itself. Pine trees peeked through the transparent canopy, chandeliers sparkled overhead, and rich burgundy draping gave the space this moody, supper-club-meets-secret-garden feeling. The tables mixed crisp whites with romantic pink floral linens, candlelight, vintage-style wood chairs, and florals that looked like they had been gathered from somewhere impossibly chic and slightly untamed.

The Bride's Look: Sleek, Effortless, and So Chic

The bride wore a sleek white gown with a softly structured bodice and simple, elegant lines. Paired with a delicate veil and a bouquet full of deep red, white, and green textures, the look was timeless with just the right amount of edge.

Later in the evening, she changed into a shimmering champagne after-party dress that was made for the dance floor. Sparkly, slinky, and totally celebratory, it brought a glamorous shift in energy as the night moved from romantic dinner party to full-on party mode.

Also, can we talk about the lime green fringe moment on the light-up dance floor? So fun. So unexpected. So ready for movement.

A Ceremony Among the Pines

A + M said "I do" in one of Chalet View Lodge's most magical outdoor ceremony spaces, surrounded by towering trees and the quiet drama of the forest. The design was clean and sculptural, with white ceremony columns creating a gallery-like frame against the pine-filled backdrop.

The florals brought the romance in a big way. White roses, hydrangea, anthurium, and trailing greenery were layered with deep red roses and cascading burgundy amaranthus, creating a palette that felt bold, modern, and totally unexpected in the best way.

The bridesmaids' styling added even more personality, with red and green dresses that echoed the floral palette while keeping the look fashion-forward and fresh.

A Sweetheart Scene With So Much Personality

A + M's sweetheart setup was full of intimate, personal energy. A vintage-style sofa, layered florals, fruit, sculptural decor, and a lace canopy moment created a scene that felt part ceremony tradition, part garden lounge, part family celebration.

It was romantic, tactile, and full of visual storytelling, the kind of design moment that makes a wedding feel less like an event and more like a lived-in, personal world.

A Bar Moment Worth Its Own Close-Up

One of our favorite details from the day was the sage green mobile bar, styled with brass sconces, a wood-framed service window, and a custom fabric cocktail menu. It felt perfectly at home in the forest setting while still bringing that elevated, editorial detail guests remember.

The florals on the bar tied everything back to the rest of the wedding palette, with white blooms, burgundy accents, and textured greenery spilling over the signage. Functional? Yes. Photogenic? Absolutely.

The Reception: Burgundy Velvet, Candlelight + Clear-Top Tent Magic

The reception design was where this wedding really leaned into its own world. A wall of deep burgundy draping brought instant drama to the tent, while long tables dressed in white linens created a clean canvas for glass hurricanes, pillar candles, and low, sculptural florals.

Round tables with romantic rose-patterned linens softened the space and added a vintage dinner-party quality. Overhead, chandeliers wrapped in cascading burgundy florals created a focal point that felt lush and theatrical without overwhelming the tent.

And that checkered dance floor? Such a strong design choice. Classic black and white with a modern party edge, especially once the lights came down and the dance floor came alive.

The Party

Once the reception shifted into dancing, the whole night took on a flash-photo, late-night energy. The groom in a classic black tux, guests crowded around the glowing dance floor, string lights overhead, and that unmistakable feeling of everyone letting go after a day full of meaning.

It is always such a win when a wedding moves naturally from ceremony to dinner to party, and this one had that arc beautifully. Forest romance by day, burgundy candlelit dinner by evening, sparkling dance floor by night.
