When a wedding day starts with a sculptural white gown hanging from a rustic wooden ladder in a pine-lined chalet, you just know the romance is going to be good.
Anais + Sammy brought a timeless, elegant, and wildly fun celebration to Chalet View Lodge, tucked into the pines of The Lost Sierra. The day had all the ingredients we love most: a dreamy forest ceremony, white hydrangeas and garden-style florals, black-tie wedding party fashion, champagne getting-ready moments, a glowing clear-top tent, and a late-night party that absolutely understood the assignment.
This was classic wedding romance, but with a Lost Sierra twist. Think: polished black tuxes, soft bridal satin, wood cabins, towering evergreens, cloudy-sky drama, and a dance floor that went from candlelit and ethereal to full-on party mode.
And yes, the bride wore headphones while kissing her groom in the DJ booth. Iconic.
The Bridal Look
Anais' gown was the kind of dress that makes you stop scrolling.
The structured bodice featured delicate lace detailing, while the full satin skirt brought all the movement, volume, and timeless bridal drama. Paired with a long veil and soft, face-framing waves, the whole look felt equal parts romantic, refined, and effortlessly photogenic.
Before the ceremony, her dress, veil, and bow-tied heels were styled inside one of Chalet View Lodge's cozy A-frame interiors, surrounded by warm wood tones and soft natural light. It was giving alpine bridal editorial in the best possible way.

Champagne With the Girls
Before the quiet, emotional moments came the champagne.
Anais got ready with her best girls in sleek satin robes, and the energy was pure joy. There were flutes in hand, a champagne spray moment, and the kind of laughter that makes getting-ready photos feel less like a checklist and more like part of the party.
The bridal party fashion leaned modern and minimal, with black satin looks that made Anais' white robe and bridal glow pop beautifully against the warm interiors.

"I Do" Among the Pines
For the ceremony, Anais + Sammy kept the design soft, natural, and deeply connected to the setting.
Rows of wooden cross-back chairs lined the aisle beneath the tall pine trees. White petals framed the walkway, while lush white floral arrangements grounded the ceremony space. At the altar, a simple wooden frame with asymmetrical white florals let the forest do what the forest does best: create the most cinematic backdrop imaginable.
The palette was clean and classic: white, green, wood, black, and the silvery softness of an overcast mountain sky.
And honestly? A cloudy ceremony day in the pines is its own kind of magic. Everything feels softer, moodier, and more romantic.

Newlywed Portraits in the Lost Sierra
After the ceremony, Anais + Sammy wandered into the landscape for portraits that feel like they belong in a black-and-white film.
One of our favorite images from the day shows Sammy carrying Anais through the grass, both of them laughing beneath the pine trees. Her gown spills beautifully into the frame, his tux is perfectly classic, and the whole moment feels spontaneous, sweet, and completely them.
The Lost Sierra has a way of making portraits feel intimate and expansive at the same time. You get the grandeur of the forest, but also these quiet little pockets where a couple can just be together.

A Clear-Top Tent Reception
The reception design brought the romance indoors, while still keeping the forest in view.
Inside the clear-top tent, airy white draping softened the ceiling, string lights glowed overhead, and a greenery-filled floral installation with white blooms floated above the dance floor. The tables featured warm wood tones, simple white linens, delicate floral touches, and plenty of candlelit ambiance.
It was elegant without feeling stiff. Natural without feeling rustic. Soft, elevated, and exactly right for a wedding surrounded by pines.
The tent is one of those spaces that transforms as the day goes on. During dinner, it feels bright and romantic. By night, it becomes a glowing little world of its own.

Let's Talk About the Party
After dinner, the reception energy turned all the way up.
The DJ booth, colorful lighting, chandeliers, and reflective backdrops brought a totally different layer to the night. Anais + Sammy leaned into the fun, and the photos tell the story: dancing, music, lights, laughter, and one very memorable kiss behind the DJ setup.
The bride in headphones? A moment.
The groom in a loosened tux after hours? Also a moment.
Together? The perfect ending to a polished forest wedding that knew exactly when to get a little wild.

Why We Love This Wedding
Anais + Sammy's day is such a beautiful example of what makes a Chalet View Lodge wedding so special. The setting already gives you towering pines, cozy architecture, mountain air, and that relaxed destination-weekend feeling. From there, the couple layered in classic black-tie style, romantic white florals, and a reception that felt both elegant and incredibly fun.
It was timeless, but not predictable.
Romantic, but not overly delicate.
Elevated, but still full of personality.
Exactly the kind of wedding that makes the Lost Sierra feel like a secret worth sharing.
